There is a strong focus on re-entry techniques as well as the skills required to safely plan and execute a day trip with friends.

The Kayak Roll (4-part lesson)

One-on-One Sessions will be offered this year in place of this class.

In this Covid climate the safest way to offer instruction on the kayak roll is through one-on-one sessions.  These lessons will meet the participant where they are at and are presented in 1 hour increments.  We've planned them later in the season to take advantage of warmer weather and water since our classroom will be goose spit.  This is a lesson that can easily be customised if you want to start earlier in the season.

$65

To register for your one-hour private session, email: [email protected]

August 8th 12pm to 4pm

August 15th 12pm to 4pm

Our regular rolling class will continue in the future:

This 4-session course is designed to teach the participant the mechanics of rolling a kayak. At the end of the sessions we hope to have you rolling – and although we can't guarantee your roll, you will leave the course with the knowledge & tools to continue working on this dynamic skill. To create a high-quality learning environment and ensure personal attention to participants, class size will be limited (maximum two students per instructor). Wet suits, boats & nose plugs provided for all sessions. To take this course, participants must have a good controlled wet exit, be comfortable staying in the kayak while it is upside down, and competent paddling skills.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are one-on-one lessons where individuals choose the skills they would like to improve.
